This week’s focus is to finish planning dates for the workshops we're providing for Culver City students. People continue to come in to give advice and discuss what they would like to teach the students of Culver City. Our goal for this year’s campaign is to teach as many students as possible about the skills needed for adulthood and daily life. Sometimes parents aren’t able to teach their kids about essential skills like how to do their taxes or how to buy a house; we don't want those kids to go into the real world without knowing basic adult things. For example, we want students to know what to do in case someone needs CPR, so a professional will come to our school and provide students with the information needed in case of an emergency. We recently finished up a video in which we interviewed Culver City students and asked them what they wanted to see in future workshops; most wanted to learn more about how to do taxes. We want more people to realize that young teenagers are a lot smarter than others think. We want to learn more because we have seen how the world is right now and we want to make it better.
