Essentials for Adulting

Summary: This year team A.I.T. decided to focus on providing young adults with life skills that will be useful after their high school career. In order to achieve this we hosted free workshops that teach young adults essential life skills. We filmed “How-to” videos as well as promoted many life skills such as CPR, Interview Skills, and Financial Literacy. As students we found a lack of this type of education in our public school system and felt that it was necessary to implement it within schools. Without acknowledging these skills many students will enter the adult world without knowing the basic values of independence. Our team hopes to involve students in these workshops so that they can learn how to become independent adults for the life ahead of them.
